Sabotage Studio has revealed the free DLC heading to Sea of Stars next year.

Called Throes of the Watchmaker, it will be released in Spring 2025 across Nintendo Switch, Steam, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.

The DLC was shown at today’s Nintendo Indie World Direct with a new trailer you can watch below.

Resident Evil and Dino Crisis creator Shinji Mikami said he doesn’t “feel like there’s a whole lot of space” for a new Dino Crisis game thanks to the success of Capcom’s Monster Hunter series.

Speaking to Eurogamer at Gamescom with regards to the forthcoming Shadows of the Damned remaster, Mikami discussed the topic of a new Dino Crisis game – it’s the series most Capcom fans want to see make a return, according to a recent survey.

Mikami said he was surprised at the fan reaction to Dino Crisis, but it seems the popularity of Monster Hunter has put him off continuing the series.

Amazon’s latest crack at a Lord of the Rings MMO still needs to find its “hook”.
That’s coming from Amazon Games boss Christoph Hartmann, who in conversation with IGN said the team doesn’t “just want to go and do the same thing over” with its Middle-earth game.
“While it’s tempting sometimes with an existing IP, that’s not the point of doing it. You’ve got to find a fresh twist, and we’re still, I think, in that period where we really want to find out what could be the hook, what could be the thing which is different to all the other games out there,” Hartmann said. “So it’s a little bit early.”

Jackbox has confirmed its forthcoming Naughty Pack is suitable for Twitch streaming, though it’s up to streamers to moderate content for their audience using in-game options.

Speaking to Eurogamer at Gamescom, Jackbox stated Twitch representatives have played the game and nothing in it is inherently against Twitch guidelines.

The Jackbox Party Packs contain multiple party games that are all innocent enough, though it can all descend into filth depending on who’s playing. That’s why Jackbox is now releasing a Naughty Pack, with games focused on adult themes.

Digital Eclipse, the developer behind the likes of Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration and Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story, has unveiled another entry in its critically acclaimed series of interactive documentaries, this time focusing on legendary puzzler Tetris. It’s called Tetris Forever, and it’s coming to PC and “multiple” consoles this winter.

Tetris Forever is officially the third entry in Digital Eclipse’s Gold Master Series – which includes Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story and last year’s equally sumptuous The Making of Karateka – and it aims to tell the “true story of Tetris” as the puzzler celebrates its 40th birthday.
