Fresh off its PlayStation 5 Pro reveal, Sony has reportedly confirmed “about 40 or 50 or games” will get PS5 Pro upgrade patches when the console launches on 7th November.

That nugget of information comes via a report from CNET, which chatted with PlayStation’s lead system architect Mark Cerny ahead of today’s PS5 Pro reveal. So far, Sony has only officially named 13 games set to recieve PS5 Pro upgrades on launch day, meaning there’s still plenty more to be shared. Those game, incidentally, are as follows:

Concord, Sony’s floundering 5v5 hero shooter, has now officially gone offline just two weeks after its PS5 and PC launch – its short life abruptly ending with an undignified “error” message.

Concord was unveiled last May as part of former PlayStation boss Jim Ryan’s optimistically expansive push into live-service gaming. Unfortunately for Sony and developer Firewalk Studios, Concord’s launch this August failed to make much of an impact – player numbers were less-than-stellar, and subsequent reports claimed only around 25,000 copies had been sold.

Still, it was a bit of a shock when Sony announced it was pulling the plug on Concord earlier this week so soon after release, Firewalk admitting “our initial launch didn’t land” and confirming Concord would be taken…

Baldur’s Gate 3’s latest and much-anticipated seventh patch is here, and we’re already making the most of it. As announced by Larian Studios’ Swen Vincke, “modding is pretty big – we had more than a million mods installed in less than 24 hours”.
Fans have taken it even further, though, with one uploading a mod that “unlocks all the disabled features and enables writer permissions for the Baldur’s Gate 3 toolkit”, which includes level editing, save editing, “and more”.

Developer Mojang has unveiled changes to Minecraft’s content release schedule that’ll see the blockbusting sandbox adventure trade its traditional single summer update for multiple content drops throughout the year. And that’s on top of the end for mob votes and more.

In a blog post outlining the future of Minecraft’s development, Mojang said its new release model is designed to satisfying players’ desires for “new Minecraft content more often”, and will see content drops of varying sizes releasing “more frequently” each year. Rockstar’s GTA+ subscription service could soon expand to include access to Switch versions of the company’s games if a now-reverted recent update to its website is anything to go by.

GTA+, which is currently only available through Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, offers subscribers access to various GTA Online items and a “rotating assortment” of Rockstar Games – including Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy, Red Dead Redemption, and LA Noire – for £6.99/€7.99/$7.99 USD a month.

A full list of games available to GTA+ members can be found on the Rockstar’s website, with subscribers currently able to access titles across a range of platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, the iOS App Store, and Google Play.

With the closure of Microsoft’s Xbox 360 digital store looming, the company has announced a final batch of heavy discounts on earlier-gen titles, as well as the release of a new Xbox Series X/S dynamic background, inspired by the Xbox 360’s much-loved “blades” dashboard design.

Microsoft announced the impending closure of its Xbox 360 digital store last August, revealing it would no longer be possible to purchase games, DLC, or other entertainment content via the Xbox 360 console or web-based Xbox 360 Marketplace from 29th July this year.

Fresh from unpacking his bags after England’s attempt at glory in the Euros, Bellingham was announced today as having taken the coveted cover slot.

It’s not a huge surprise. Bellingham also features on the EA Sports FC 25 Ultimate Edition cover, alongside football/product placement legend David Beckham and Spanish star Aitana Bonmatí. Zinedine Zidane and Gianluigi Buffon also appear.
